Thank you to the Good Book Publishing Company for the complimentary copy of Helen Roseveare: The Doctor Who Kept Going No Matter What. This is my honest review.
Have you ever heard of Helen Roseveare? I never had until I was offered the chance to do this book review.
Helen Roseveare sounds like a very interesting lady.
After becoming a doctor, then a missionary, she served the Lord in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
She trained nurses and doctors and helped establish medical facilities.
Unfortunately, she was taken hostage by rebel soldiers and for five months Helen went through very difficult times.
Helen died in 2016, but her story continues with other books that have been written about her.
Helen Roseveare: The Doctor Who Kept Going No Matter What is written by Laura Caputo-Wickham and the cute illustrations are by Cecilia Messina.
This book is perfect for kids in the age range of 4-7, and it reminds kids that no matter what happens in our lives, God is always with us.
I highly recommend this book, and it would be perfect in any church, Sunday school, children’s church, or homeschool library.
Helen Roseveare: The Doctor Who Kept Going No Matter What is part of the Do Great Things for God series.
