I received a complimentary copy of this book from The Good Book company for my honest review. All opinions are 100% my own.
Susannah Spurgeon: Overcoming Sickness to be a Pastor’s Wife is written by Mary K. Mohler and is part of the Do Great Things for God series published by The Good Book company.
This book has a hard cover and glossy inside pages that are bright and colorful. The illustrations are so cute.
Susannah Spurgeon’s life story is a great example for your children to be introduced to.
By her example, your children will learn that even though you may not be able to perform extraordinary physical feats you can still be used by God to do other amazing things.
Susannah Spurgeon was her husband’s biggest fan and through her encouragement and prayer, he was able to keep going and preaching when times were tough.
I’m so glad that she was able to support him in this way as Charles’ books and commentaries have made an impact in people all over the world.
I would highly recommend this book to any Christian family. This would also be a great addition to any homeschooling family wanting to study past heroes of the faith.
