Hi! Welcome back. This week we are on the letter D with our Blogging Through the Alphabet. For this post, I wanted to introduce you to a cute little fellow whose title starts with the letter D. I hope you think he’s as cute as I do.
Their eyes are glued to the screen.
They smile when the story gets funny.
They look so sad and worried when the problem starts and then gets worse. What is going to happen?
Have you ever watched your little ones get caught up in a story? I enjoy watching their facial expressions. I can only imagine what I look like when I’m watching a movie I’ve never seen before!
When you’re done watching, what sticks in your mind? For my kids, it’s the songs, funny parts, and how the problem got straightened out.
If your kids are the same way, then they’ll enjoy and learn from Donkey Ollie at SchoolhouseTeachers.com.
Anyone that knows me, knows that I’m a big fan of SchoolhouseTeachers. They provide their members with Donkey Ollie videos and downloadable books that have corresponding lessons to go with them.
All About Donkey Ollie
Let me tell you a little bit about Donkey Ollie.
First, he’s a donkey. He’s cute and courageous but his main goal in life is to see the world. Unfortunately, he’s stuck on the farm and the other donkeys like to put Ollie down and sometimes make fun of him.
Ollie has to overcome his feelings of self-doubt and unworthiness so that he can be used by Jesus to make an impact on others.
The farm animals, including Ollie, enjoy singing and there are plenty of upbeat songs to fill the half-hour video. At the end, Farmer John (a real-life human) says a few words and helps your child with an activity.
