I love searching for items in books, magazines, jigsaw puzzles, etc. So, I love this book.
Seek and Find: The First Christmas will have your kids searching and counting objects on every page, all the while learning about Christmas. Sarah Parker, the author, claims that there are over 450 objects to find. I didn’t count them all, but I know it’s a lot.
The book itself is hardback so it will stand the abuse of children using it over and over. The pages are thick, glossy, colorful and busy. Lots of things to look at on every page.
The message of the book is clear. The Christmas story is retold from Luke 2 and Matthew 2, with the Scripture references included so you can read the passages of Scripture directly from the Bible, if you would want to.
The story is easy to understand, and the vocabulary is simple.
I highly recommend Seek and Find: The First Christmas to any family that has elementary age and/or middle school age children. This book would also be a great addition to any church library or Sunday school classroom.
Sarah Parker has also written Seek and Find: The New Testament. You can read my review of it by clicking on the title.
